IT WAS $8 AND WELL WORTH IT...

How to make a wreath out of an old book

I came across this creative idea of recycling an old book on The Happy Home Blog and loved it. (Although I always have trouble getting rid of any of my books!). If you haven't got any books you want to use, go and pick one in the charity shop - plenty there!

LET THERE BE LIGHT

got this from the thrift store for $1.99 and decided to paint it to update it. i saw one similar at target for about $200 dollars which i didnt want to spend on a light to go out under my gazebo.

the redo it found a home in my guest bedroom..the yellow was not
doing it justice.

This dresser was given to me by a lady when i answered a craigslist add. I originally went there to pick up a small unfinished dresser and she told me she was moving and could'nt take alot of stuff with her. She let me have this dresser and some other pieces for free. I thank her very much. I sent her an email with the finished result to which she told me she was glad someone got the pieces that would appreciate them and

"who knew they could look so good"

I stained the top and painted the rest. restored the cork that was onthe top which acts like a shadow box and

replaced the knobs.
